Help us improve the homes — and lives — of low-income homeowners in the Triangle
Since 2009, Rebuilding Together of the Triangle has been bringing volunteers and communities together throughout Chatham, Durham, Orange and Wake Counties. We strive to improve the lives of homeowners by making urgent repairs and upgrades so that their homes are healthy and safe. We believe that one of the best ways to provide affordable housing is by preserving the homes families currently own, and often have owned for generations.
Our homeowners come to us through referrals from other community agencies, word-of-mouth, or our own community outreach. The urgency of needed repair(s), what the project will encompass, household income level and location are all factors taken into account in choosing which projects we will address next.
We are so grateful for all of the volunteers, donors, partnering community agencies and business that support our work and our homeowners! In 2019 we hope to be able to repair the homes of 110 families, making them safe and healthy. Please join us in answering their needs – make your contribution by the end of this year!
Make your gift now and double its value thanks to a generous matching gift of $15,000 being offered by our Board of Directors!
You’re a loving father with three young children living in Siler City when it’s discovered that your home is putting them at risk of lead poisoning. Your house was built a long time ago, and lead paint was used on cabinets, ceilings, floors – all over. You don’t have the resources right now to address the situation. What do you do?
Thanks to 100 Women Who Give A Hoot, Chatham County and other supporters, RTT was able to take that worry off Jose’s plate. We were able to make the urgent health and safety related repairs needed to keep his children’s home healthy.
Whether the hazard is lead paint, asthma triggers or the risk of a fall, RTT can mobilize resources from across the Triangle to make sure families have safe, healthy homes once again. But none of it could happen without your financial contributions.
