Thank you for inquiring about Rebuilding Together of the Triangle, Inc. (RTT) services. Rebuilding Together of the Triangle seeks to make a sustainable impact on preserving and revitalizing homes and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, from the elderly and disabled to families with children, live in safe, healthy homes in Chatham, Durham, Orange and Wake counties in North Carolina.
We coordinate these services when the disrepair of a home imposes discomfort, the environment of a home is unsafe or the home presents a health hazard to its occupants and the homeowners are unable to make repairs themselves.
In order to be considered for the program, the following criteria must be met:
You must own and live in your home for at least 2 years.
You must be a resident in Chatham, Durham, Orange or Wake County.
Your Property Taxes must be up to date.
Your household income falls at or below 65% of the Median Income, per the table below.
Plan to stay in your home for at least 3 years after work has been completed.
Once we receive your application it will undergo a review process. If you meet the initial criteria above and RTT has verified your income/homeownership, we will contact you by telephone to set up a home visit to assess the requested repairs listed to evaluate whether or not your project is a fit for our program.
Please be advised that we are not an emergency organization and help applicants as soon as we are able.
If you are accepted into the program, your home repairs will be completed as soon as the funding and resources are available to help you. Homeowners and residents of the home are expected to participate in the Rebuilding Together of the Triangle project to the extent they are able.
